June Lake Trail Map · Fly fishing
Upper Owens River
Spring-fed meadow water from Big Springs toward Crowley. Lake-run fish in spring and fall.
Map by Bill Tipton, made for the Yosemite Gateway Chalet. For planning: carry a real map and check conditions before you go.
A spring-fed meadow river that winds from Big Springs toward Crowley Lake. In spring and fall, rainbows and cutthroat run up out of Crowley, and a stream you can almost jump across fills with fish that belong in a much bigger river. Public access is on Los Angeles Department of Water and Power land along Owens River Road. Close every gate behind you.
